Hi, I'm Camille.

I've loved creating art for as long as I can remember. As a child, I was always drawing, painting, and finding beauty in the little details that many people overlooked. I am a self-taught artist. Everything I've learned has come from years of practice, perseverance, and a genuine passion for continually improving my craft.

 

Over the years, I've been fortunate to turn that passion into a career. I spent several years creating custom pet portraits as an artist for Chewy, worked as a photographer at a local auction house, and today I'm a contracted artist for STAUD, where I hand-paint custom portraits on their luxury handbags. I also take many personal commissions. I've had the privilege of painting over 3000 beloved pets thus far in my career.

One thing that makes my perspective unique is that I was born with an eye condition that prevents me from having depth perception. Because of this, I experience the world entirely in two dimensions, and I believe that unique way of seeing the world has become one of my greatest strengths as an artist.

Animals have always held a special place in my heart, and I love creating artwork that captures not only what they look like, but the personality and love they bring into our lives. I believe the most meaningful portraits capture more than appearance. My goal is to preserve the soul and essence of each animal.

When I'm not painting, I enjoy being in nature, or exploring a museum. You'll usually find me with my family, our dogs, and cats. If you found me through social media, you may already know Gypsy, Jude, Luna, Jasper, and Lulu. Sharing their stories, especially Luna's journey after being rescued from a severe hoarding situation, has connected me with an incredible community of animal lovers.
